DEC 20, 2015 PEACEFUL REVOLT AGAINST THE " ROSSI AND THE REST" SITUATION IN LENR (II)

MOTTO

We are a failed species, unless we switch to LENR energy sources, IMMEDIATELY!!!

DAILY NOTES  (these are raw notes)

a) like economics research is going well only if it grows, not only the vslue but its first order derivative, research defined by and as progress;

Rossi's grey magic, occult knowledge- a challenge to science, scientists, technologist researchers and research managers

to learn both negative (what does not work) and positive (what may work)
learn  equal discover, reveal, understand. make real, achieve
to distinguish essential from marginal, relevant from irrelevant, true from misleading

what can we learn from Rossi's blog and interviews
what can we learn from Rossi's patent(s)? (David French)
what can we learn from the experience of the Lugano Testers?
what can we learn from Rossi's relation about his AHA moment?

what can we learn from the Piantelli NiH literature?
what can we learn from Defkalion's publications and statements?

what can we learn from the experience of the Replicators?
what can we learn from the initial and from the long term PdD experience
create active sites- LENR

continuously create active sites- LENR+;
 nickel pre-activated, pre-hydrogenated?
suggestions for working hypotheses?

b) an exercise in problem solving- what can we learn about Rossi's secret from my 20 problem solving rules

1. There are NO isolated problems, they always come in dynamic bunches
very probably there is no one single secret but a combination- coming from catalysis, nanotechnology, exotic nuclear physics;

2. There are NO final solutions for the really great problems, these have to be solved again and again.
- the solution is a living one, more of a solution process, ever increasing and adding important details;

3. NOT solving the problem, but defining it is the critical step.
- this rule shows that we are in very deep trouble- a problem defined is half solved, a problem so badly defined as LENR is 90% unsolved;

4. NOT the unknown data, but those known and untrue are the greatest obstacle to this solution.
- yes, our pet myths and local memes are obstacles to get the idea of this secret and to apply it boldly;

5. .NOT what we know, but what we don’t know is more important for solving the problem.
- this is a perverse rule of research very disliked however true- and we do not knot a lot of things and those we know cannot be applied to a solution;

6. NOT the main desired positive effect, but those secondary negative and/or undesired effects decide in most cases if a solution is implemented.
- an other cruel aspect of reality, and many times it is more difficult to eliminate negative effects than to enhance positive ones;

7. NOT all problems have a complete, genuine solution.- we will learn this later- this is kind of endless research;
8. NOT the solutions that seem perfect from the start, but those which are very perfectible are the best in many cases.
- we have to seek solutions that are perfectible better than perfect, this
goes so well with my expectation that we will have first just principles and recipes,
rather than a genuine fine theory;

9. NOT the bright, shiny, spectacular solutions but those elaborated, worked out with difficulty and effort and patience are more valuable and have a larger area of applicability.
- solutions come dressed in overalls;

10. NOT the solutions that are logical and perfectly rational, but those that are adequate for the feelings of the potential users, even if they are illogical, have the greatest chances of fast implementation
- this shows we have to use with courage the methods of stimulating creativity and practice superlogical thinking; it seems Rossi has done this;

11. NOT the quality of the solution but the speed of its implementation is the decisive factor in many cases. It can be better to have a partial solution applied fast than a slower almost perfect solution.
- this one of my favorite rules and I think it has to be applied whenever and whereever possible; these two weekend days I couldn''t do it but tomorrow comes the brainstorm!

 12. NOT always long hours of hard work and great efforts, but (sometimes) relaxation and fun is the best way to obtain solutions for (awfully) difficult problems.
it is wise to hire researchers with green fingers and, why not, luck, life and research are not permanent meritocracies and not completely rational; serendipity has a luck component;

13. NOT our own problems, but the problems of other people are usually more boldly and creatively solved by us
this is true for other people too, LENR was athe problem of a community but was solved by an outsider; can this be repeated now? Let's people who hear now about LENR to help us...such things have psychological explanations;

14. NOT the solutions worked out by us, but those borrowed. bought or stolen from others are more easily accepted and implemented.
- let's use other people's ideas, let's seek inspiration and quite remote bisociations!

15. NOT the enhancement of human strengths but the limitation of human weaknesses is more useful for efficient problem solving
- this is a noble idea, sometimes too noble, people tend to over-use their strengths and to ignore their weak points;

16. NOT the very careful perfect planning, but the smart assuming of risks and firm decision taking are the practical keys to successful problem solving.
- it's about courage; experience, character, we need leaders!

17. NOT always the existent, real problems, but many times the fictive, imaginary ones are the most difficult to be solved.
- fine in theory, but surely we add imaginary problems to the real one, let's pray that
the Gods of research should endow us with wisdom- we need it it!

18. Do NOT accept the premises of the problem, change them as necessary and possible.
- this is what I am repeating all the time, we have to apply technology to make the LENR science and  solutions possible; Technology First!

19. Do NOT stop at the first solution, seek for alternatives.
- but first comes a First Solution, then we will continue!

20. NOT the wise application of these rules but the finding of the specific exceptions to these, is the real high art of problem solving.
- it is  a basic rule that reality respects rules and Laws however sometimes it selects new rules and Laws

"One of the technologies that could be part of the initiative is LENR (Low Energy Nuclear Reaction) a means of producing energy first erroneously described as Cold Fusion. "In meantime it will be given a physics based explanation of the phenomenon. In many countries it is considered that LENR will be a key technology
of the coming energy politics." says Wolfgang Herda a 71 years old engineer whose professional career/life was at Dr. Hell and Siemens. He is angry because st the international congresses of LENR- there are participating 21 countries and Germany is not there. Bill Gates and his Fund have also discovered LENR/ However in Germany the emphasis is on wind energy and photovoliaics f\despite their obvious drawbacks but starting with 2015 the initiative has to make progress and therefore information about LENR is a must."

Gordon Miles:
While the E-Cat X is a different thing from the low temperature 1MW E-Cat and they have different destinations, the R&D on course with both generates a synergy of their evolution. They do not bump each other, what happens is exactly the contrary.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

  1. How can switching to non-existing source of energy help? Back to stone age, Peter, is that it?
